Blessing of the Foxhounds, October 4, 2025

The Masters of Foxhounds of the Old Chatham Hunt Club would like to extend an invitation to the biggest day of the season – the Blessing of the Hounds and Opening Meet.

For Fox Hunters, this event is the highest anticipated event of the season, with everyone turning out on their finest horses and in their best gear, glistening from head to toe.

The hounds will be prancing with glee and anticipation for the day ahead, while the horses snort with excitement in the crisp, early fall air. Braids will be perfectly in place, adding to the overall picture of elegance.

Please join us, whether on horseback or on foot. This day is meant to bring the community together for a morning of tradition, celebrating the bond between hounds, horses, and humans.
